  We had a great time SUPing it up with our 9 year old daughter. It was a mellow spot for beginners but still was a great workout and a fun way to spend an afternoon on a sunny day. Highly recommended!

  Friendly staff and easy online reservations. Definitely your go to place for renting Paddle Boarding equipment and getting lessons. Knowledgeable staff made paddle boarding a great experience.

  My family went paddle boarding for the first time! It was an amazing experience, both peaceful and exhilarating! The location was perfect! People of all ages can give it a try. Our family included ages ranging from 10 years old to 50 years old. The SUP staff was kind and knowledgeable and made our experience that much better. I highly recommend this company!

  Easy as can be! Made a reservation for a 1 hour rental @ Liberty Station, checked in right on the water and I was on the water within minutes. Equipment was already organized and ready to go. Thank you SUP it was a beautiful day and a much needed day OUT!

  ~Great activity during COVID -- be prepared to wear a mask during check-in interactions. They have signs posted about COVID rules, which is good. ~This particular location is nice and easy because there are no waves and water craft are few and keep to 5mph. There are several kayaks and SUP boards on the water as well as swimmers and occasional small boats. We also passed a SUP yoga class. ~The views are somewhat scenic -- you can see the downtown skyline at one point. You can also see the back of the airport, Liberty Station, palm trees, shrubbery, dogs, pedestrians, buildings, hotels, airplanes overhead. ~Easy on-line booking and waiver form. Payment and waiver is on-line during COVID, even if you're a walk-up. ~Wear a hat, sunscreen and swimsuit. Remember a lanyard for your sunglasses in case you fall in and a waterproof lanyard case for your phone if you want to take photos. If you found this review useful, please click the thank button. ~If you're renting a SUP, you get a *very quick* briefing of the rules/what to do/how to do it at the shore. I recommend watching an online video beforehand regarding SUP tips. We found that extremely helpful. ~Life jackets are provided on the board the SUP, but don't have to be worn. I wore mine. ~Bags/belongings can be left under the watchful eye of the staff. Not sure exactly how watchful that is, but our stuff was OK. Try to bring as little as possible with you. ~Parking is a few minutes walk away on Farragutt cul-de-sac or nearby small lot. ~24 hr cancellation. ~Arrive 10-15 mins early ahead of your time slot in order to check in and prepare yourself. ~Public restrooms/toilets are located a couple minutes walk away. ~We found 1 hour on the SUP was plenty -- our feet were numb from standing in one position! ~The staff were friendly, but I thought they could have been slightly more professional. They were sat around eating, didn't have a uniform and were a little slap-dash about helping in and out of the water. Rules/instructions were verbally told to us very quickly. ~They have some items for sale like waterproof phone bags, eyeglass lanyards, etc., but the staff didn't seem to know how much they were and during COVID, you have to purchase them on-line, which was inconvenient. ~Nearby grassy area or Liberty Stn. restaurants provide a great after SUP picnic or dining experience.   We went on Father’s Day and had a great experience! They are very professional and had all 6 paddle-boards waiting for us. Due to Covid, we completed everything online and reservations was very easy. Thank you The SUP connection!

  Sam and her pup Jack are the perfect SUP guides. Excellent instruction had us out on the water for our first SUP experience in minutes. We were able to stand up on our first try. Bella our Chihuahua enjoyed her ride too. Nobody fell in! Highly recommended!

  The entire experience with SUP Connection was excellent -- from the prompt email responses, to the set-up, to the day-of event. We ended up having approximately 25 people from our wedding group join and it was such a wonderful way to start our wedding day. We showed up and the SUP Connection team was there and ready to go. They were extremely accommodating and met our group at 8:30am, even though they don't normally open until 10am. In addition to these guys being great, the views that you get from the area that they are located in are magnificent. We paddled just a ways out into the marina and had a full shot of downtown San Diego. What a wonderful and memorable experience for us and our friends that flew to San Diego for our wedding!

  We did the SUP Pups one hour private lesson with our puppy Riley. The location is perfect with calm water and easy parking. The equipment was really nice and Samantha did an excellent job teaching how to paddle with our dog on board! We will definitely be back on our next trip!
