There are two airport-style security screenings so guests are advised to plan accordingly. No weapons, knives, scissors, etc. will be allowed through the first security checkpoint. There is no opportunity to check prohibited items before the first screening
Backpacks, food, and drink of any kind (except water) are not permitted into the pedestal but you will have an opportunity to check these items in a locker before the second security screening. Lockers are available on Liberty Island. Customer will need coins to rent the lockers. Coins are returned to customers after the rental

I visited Manhattan for the first time as a tourist, and I decided to visit the Statue of Liberty. I was unsure of how to go about it, so I booked a 'skip-the-line' tour with a guide. Best decision I could have possibly made. Our guide, Jim, was very funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. I would recommend him a thousand times over. Looking back, I don't know what we would have done without him as the guide. There are many steps to the process, and for a first-time visitor, the experience would have been filled with many headaches along the way without a high-quality guide like Jim. He would explain all the steps before going through them, plus he would provide any information about the many stations along the way as we went. Outstanding tour, outstanding guide, and I hope to take family and friends here again so they can experience a tour led by Jim.

Today we visited the Statue of Liberty with Debbie as our guide. We have had an amazing day and the children enjoyed all the facts and history Debbie showed them. The trip was fun and friendly. I would definitely recommend, skipped a two hour line and guided straight through security to a really enjoyable and memorable day.

We were booking late and wanted pedestal tickets, but couldn’t go through the normal venue. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of information that was provided during the guided tour. Mike did a great job of setting our expectations at each step and making the visit a memorable one.

We enjoyed our tour guide, James. He had an infinite amount of interesting history about the Statue of Liberty. The tour was very informative and a pleasant walk around the Statue of Liberty. We are very pleased we had a great tour guide.

This was easily one of the best guided tours I have experienced. Ticketing was easy and directions for the beginning of the tour were simple and accurate. Our tour guide was Patrick and he was absolutely wonderful. He was friendly, personable and very well spoken. Patrick was so knowledgeable, but the information he provided was fascinating rather than pedantic. I felt we had time to see everything. Good job!!
