Kids under 5 are free so we took our children. Would not recommend for that age at all. The movie implies Native Americans chasing each other out of the canyon and also explorers falling out of boats while exploring the river. This was too scary for my 4 year old and we left early. I wish the staff would have warned us; we wouldn’t have gone. Additionally, it does not give you an overview of the geography of the canyon but focuses on early inhabitants and explorers. Wasn’t worth it for the adults either.

The movie was extremely over priced for an Imax film produced in the '80s that you may have seen years ago in another Imax around the country. You'd expect it to be something filmed more recently with the latest drone capabilities at the price of $50 for a family of 4. Family vacations are expensive enough, don't waste your time or money stopping here. Head straight to the park and see the GC in person.

FANTASTIC FILM! Most visitors have no idea of the enormity of the Grand Canyon. In this film you can have a glimpse, a sliver o nature how the water work of the rock for ten thousand centuries.

The say 8:30am-8:30pm The was close at 6pm.... Try to call them nobody’s answer I waste like 50$ for that for noting

The movie was beautiful and well done; however, my friend and I had assumed that the film would explain how the canyon was formed. This was a history of the people that encountered and explored the Grand Canyon. We snacked at the cafe and found the food delicious and reasonably priced. We had also expected the movie to be located in the park and we had to backtrack to the theater.

Although the movie was fantastic the meal we paid for was not what we expected. The website we bought the tickets still had rice bowls as an option but when we got there to view the movie at 2:30pm they told us due to covid they can't offer that item. Although I understand the only other real option was pizza BUT they closed at 3pm which was passed the time we would get out of the movie. The young man taking tickets did apologize and took our order for 2 veggie pizzas and made it right once we got out. Our reserved pizza was given to a couple just before us so they did make us fresh ones even though they had closed. That was a plus. So just beware that things change at the site but may not be updated on the website. Thus the 4 star rating instead of 5.

We found the movie to be wonderfully done, and of course great to see on the giant IMAX screen. The entire visitor center is manned with helpful, friendly employees at every turn, making the experience as good as it could have been. After the movie we browsed in the lovely gift shop, and headed over to Pizza Hut for a person pan pizza which was served piping hot and delicious. This is just about 2 miles before you enter the Park on 64 north from the I-40. Well worth the stop.
